Installs and calibrates meters, maintains meter-testing schedule, insures all measurement test schedules are performed;
Performs gas sample analysis, dew point analysis and H2S sampling analysis;
Installs and maintains over pressure protection equipment;
Installs and calibrates end devices such as pressure transducers, temperature transmitters and valve positioners;
Installs and maintains H2S analyzers, moisture analyzers, gas chromatographs, oxygen sensors, serial communication devices and connections;
Installs and maintains batteries, solar panels, thermal electric generators and batter charge controllers;
Maintains calibration and gas sampling equipment; and
May perform other duties in another classification, as directed.
Required Skills:
Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel;
Intermediate mechanical and troubleshooting skills;
Ability to contribute in a team environment;
Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to adhere to predefined work plans and meet required deadlines; and
Basic knowledge of physical properties of gases and basic gas law, API Measurement Standards, DOT Part 192 regulations, industrial communication protocols and gas quality and conditioning preferred.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED;
Two years experience in a related field preferred
2 year Associates Degree in Electronics or similar field preferred
Valid driver’s license;
Ability and willingness to take callouts 24/7; and
Ability to pass a physical capabilities test (which includes, but is not limited to, lifting and carrying 70 lbs., walking 1/2 mile at various inclines, etc.) necessary to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
