Position Description:
Under the direction of the REACT Project Manager, the Ukraine Deployment Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, deploying and providing ongoing support to REACT experts and elections volunteers for the REACT contract, with a special focus on Ukraine. The incumbent works as a member of a small team, supports aspects of deployment and repatriation travel, including personnel contract documents.
Detailed Description:
PAE seeks a full-time Ukraine Deployment Coordinator in its Courthouse, Virginia office to provide logistical support to the REACT contract. Reporting directly to the REACT Project Manager, the incumbent will possess strong organizational and diplomatic skills, work independently under tight deadlines, function successfully in a team environment, and have prior experience with logistics and travel preparations. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing and deploying qualified experts and elections observers for the REACT contract. The incumbent will work as a member of a small team and recommend strategies to improve travel related efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities include:
· Issues and maintains documents to deploy approximately 200 experts and volunteers deploying to OSCE positions in Ukraine, the Balkans, Central Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia annually, including contract and tax documents.
· Manages travel arrangements (including airline tickets, travel insurance, visas), compiles pre-deployment packages and provides all in-transit logistics and ongoing deployment support.
· Reconciles deployment and repatriation spending, contributing to Human Resources and Customer reporting.
· Supports and/or replaces the Deployment Logistics Coordinator during busy and leave periods.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
· Must be able to hold a Secret Clearance
· An understanding of Ukraine, OSCE, Russian language skills, and working/living in the OSCE region are highly desirable
· Experience in making deployment arrangements or related purchasing/tracking in a global setting is highly desirable
· Prior experience issuing personnel documents is highly desirable
· Well demonstrated people skills and communication skills
· Should be task oriented and be able to work independently
· Should be able to work across time zones and be flexible to work extended hours if and when required oY
