If you are searching for a part time position that gives you the ability to have physical labor along with clerical officeduties then this could be the position for you. In this role you will beon the dock loading/unloading freight. Driving a forklift etc but will also have the responsibility of handling clerical office duties. This role allows you to obtain experience in two different aspect of the transportation industry


Minimum Qualification


Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be CFL certifiable on Forklift and know hazardous material loading requirements and restrictions. Must be able to lift a maximum of 150 pounds and handle 55 gallon loaded drums with barrel wheeler.


Duties/ Responsibilities


  • Unloads inbound freight and insures piece count matches shipping papers.

  • Records apparent overages, shortages, and damages to freight.

  • Distributes freight to proper load out bay.

  • Loads outbound freight. Insures proper piece count and destination. Routes bills in sequence of delivery.

  • Places trailers properly at dock.

  • Hooks up pups. Sweeps trailers, pulls nails, drops pins, checks tires, and pull chains.

  • General clerical duties as assigned.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Required experience:


  • Fork Lift Experienced: 1 year
