We are working with a highly successful and established business to recruit an IT Technician to be responsible for the company’s IT requirements. A family run business with around 25 staff, the successful candidate will ensure that all of the IT systems are running efficiently, deal with any internal IT software/hardware issues, whilst also using SQL to keep internal systems/databases performing the required tasks.
We are looking for a solid IT ‘all rounder’ with experience of SQL, strong knowledge of general IT software/hardware and a sound understanding of networking/servers.
Duties to include:
- Managing the company’s IT network.
- Resolving day to day IT related issues.
- Managing the Company’s computer equipment and setting up new items of equipment.
- Overseeing the running of the Company’s Business Programs (accounts system, warehouse management, website integration)
- Writing reports to meet business requirements.
- Managing the telephony provision with all associated technology.
- Assisting in automating business processes.
- Assisting with new software installs and developments.
- Maintaining SQL Server Database
- Managing company networking and servers
Candidate requirements:
- A basic knowledge of networks and computers.
- An understanding of SQL databases and how to manipulate/extract data under basic SQL coding
- Experience at using a report writing system; an understanding of Crystal would be beneficial.
- Experienced knowledge of Excel and how to create Pivot Tables etc.
- A knowledge of Access Dimensions would be very beneficial.
- A understanding of business logic and the general structure of back office systems, websites etc
- A willingness to learn and work with new ideas and concepts.
