This integral position in the firm is responsible for the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, support and maintain our current applications.
- Participate in enhancement design sessions.
- Complete projects as assigned by the Application Development manager.
- Test all modifications, including systems and full regression testing.
- Participate or assist during user acceptance testing.
- Create systems (not end user) documentation
- Keep current on latest industry trends and application design patterns, including
user interface and usability
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative
solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate
options and implement solutions.
- Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most
appropriate one.
- Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Qualified candidates must possess the following skills:
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and to communicate with users
- Strong problem solving and analytical ability
Education/Training/Experience:
- Trade Grad/Associate’s degree or 2+ years related experience.
- Understanding of the SDLC protocol
- Hands on experience with Delphi, VB, C#, and/or other MS technologies.
- Knowledge of software design and implementation
- Knowledge of relational database principles and experience in database design
- Delphi/Pascall (preferred)
