PEGlobal are looking for a Medical Information Manager for our multinationaled life sciences client based in the greater London area.
Role Purpose
- Supply medical information in response to internal and external customer enquiries.
- Support Senior Medical Information Officers in specific therapy areas.
Key Role Activities
- Answer telephone, web-based and written enquiries from health care professionals, members of the public and internal customers concerning the safe and effective use of all products marketed bythe company in a timely manner
- Record all external customer contacts i
- Search relevant data sources, both internal and external, to identify and retrieve relevant data and information appropriate to answer information requests
- Analyse clinical papers to identify appropriate data to answer the medical information enquiries
- Prepare written summaries of clinical data for inclusion in standard responses and in response to customer enquiries
- Proactively update MIDAS database with standard responses that can be reused by others in the department to answer medical information enquiries
- Contribute to the writing of Departmental SOPs in conjunction with other members of the Medical Information Team
Key Compliance Requirments
- Complete annual Drug Safety and HCC Awareness training
- Report Adverse Events and complaints in a timely way to Drug Safety according to current Adverse Event Reporting guidelines/SOP and to maintain Regulatory compliance
- If commissioning contractors or third party organisations, put contracts in place and provide training so that these individuals also act in accordance with the companies HCC requirements when interacting with Healthcare Professionals and report adverse events and complaints (as above).

Role Dimensions
A key component of this role is handling enquiries from external customers. As such a Medical Information Officer will have daily telephone contact with external customers including Healthcare Professionals, patients, carers and competitor companies.
