Sales Representative Assistant - NGL Energy Partners LP - Jourdanton, TX






Position Summary: The Sales Representative Assistant is responsible for clerical and technical support for the sales and marketing team within the Eagle Ford division. The major function of this position will be recordkeeping responsibilities, electronic database maintenance and reporting, sales proposals for prospective customers, and solving customer inquiries and ensuring that the sales representatives in the field are aware of the business changes. The administration assistant helps to ensure the financial success of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain customer database by inputting customer profile and updates; prepare and distribute timely reports, and update contract changes

  • Interface with facility mangers and operators, monitoring system stability

  • Work with sales team to plan for daily customer demand

  • Answers telephone, and email inquiries, escalating issues if necessary

  • Resolve customer invoicing and accounting discrepancies

  • Provide product, facility information, and pricing information to sales and team

  • Provide sales results by preparing and forwarding sales tracking reports

  • Schedule and organize meetings

  • Copying and filing as needed

  • Represents NGL positively and effectively through customer interaction

Education and Experience Requirements:


  • 1 year experience in assisting in an office setting

  • College Degree required

  • Working knowledge of oil and gas field services preferred

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Requirements:


  • Team player

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as special “people skills” to effectively interact with customers at all levels

  • Must be highly effective with time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Work is generally sedentary, but may require physical effort associated with going to the facilities. This may include standing, walking and lifting to carry out everyday activities.
Work Environment:
General office environment. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times with occasional overtime. Occasional daily field trips require the use of a hard hat, steel-toed boots, and eye and/or ear protection. Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. Some travel may be required for the purpose of training, meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off‐site personnel/management.
