ENTRY-LEVEL Equipment Operator – Earn $31.00+ per hour - Gen Tech Industries - Houston, TX

This position’s primary responsibilities are operation of off-highway truck to move material from quarry to the spoils dump or primary crusher.

Safely drives and maneuvers vehicle into position for loading and dumping material.

Assists in stockpiling materials at plant stockpile area and hauls other material as required; settling pond material, waste material, overburden, etc. Inspects vehicle’s mechanisms and monitors and maintains fluid levels.

Assists mechanic with minor service and repairs to equipment.

Qualifications


Employee is expected to operate equipment unit with a high degree of competence, skill and proficiency and shall:

Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently, observing all safety and health rules.

Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspection and completes daily equipment reports.

Report unsafe mechanical conditions to shop foreman and supervisor.

Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment.

Follow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards and other hazardous conditions.

Perform a variety of duties as directed in addition to those described within.

Must be willing to work flexible schedules when needed.

Weekend work required as needed.
