A listed house-builder/ property development company based in Amersham is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their Senior Management Team. This is a pivotal role within the organisation that will support the growth and development of the business.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the monthly management accounts with associated commentary
- Developing and maintaining the forecast models which drive the Board’s decision making processes
- Production of periodical statutory accounts and industry standard statutory returns (CIS)
- Provide support and advice on key land and tax issues including VAT
- Identify issues and risks, providing business support that will alleviate potential financial issues
- Manage, motivate a small established team
The successful candidate must be a ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with a proven track record with the property sector. Candidates must demonstrate their experience of managing complex accounting cycles, as well as working directly with the owners and board members of the business. Knowledge of IFRS, PLC, SPV and Joint Venture accounting is essential.
You must possess first class interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver complex finance information to internal and external stakeholders. This is an entrepreneurial and very dynamic environment and requires a commercially astute individual who will add value.
