My large well known client is recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a very successful business based in Hemel Hempstead this role is to assist and deputise for the HR Manager.

Job Description


My client is currently seeking an individual, who can demonstrate good employment law knowledge, exemplary planning skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, tenacity and complete confidentiality to join our small but successful team within our offices in Hemel Hempstead. This is an almost exclusively office based role and the applicant should be able to cope in an extremely busy environment.


Reporting to the Personnel Manager, office duties will include maintaining /advising /undertaking work with regard to policy (both to staff and management), personnel matters, training, health care and payroll administration, selection and recruitment and induction. The job holder must be able to demonstrate composition ability and a logical and methodical approach to work.


The role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who likes working as part of a supportive team, enjoys variety and who can work flexibly.


The role requires use of the following Company applications: Lotus Notes, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The successful applicant will be able to show good grades in English at GCSE or A-level and a qualification relevant to personnel work. A business-like appearance is as important as an approachable personality. It is important that the applicant displays an ability to think quickly under pressure and that they can give clear and calm direction when required.


Person Specification


Good personal presentation & grooming. Confident but friendly manner, clear language. Ability to adapt to culture of company with Japanese HQ


Knowledge of employment law and personnel practices.


Word, Excel & PowerPoint – Intermediate / Advanced.


Strong attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation.
