Works to assure safety of patients, visitors and staff and property, works proactively to prevent theft and vandalism, responds to needs of hospital staff, offers assistance to those in need, provides excellent customer service, and takes direction from department supervisory/management staff. Work may involve high risk with exposure to potentially dangerous situations which requires range of safety precautions. Works with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and communication with other security officers and staff are critical. Physical interaction with such individuals requires strength, stamina, flexibility and critical thinking
Qualifications
Minimum HS diploma with 2 years Security exp or Associate Degree and 1 year Security experience; Class D Drivers License; must be able to pass BCA and FBI background check; must pass Fairview background check; basic computer literacy required; must be able to pass CPR testing,ASP (baton), handcuffing and chemical agent training. International Assoc. for Hospital Safety and Security Certification required within 6 months of job hire
