Receives customer payments and deposits; balances payments and makes deposit slips for bank deposits. Processes drop box customer payments.
Provides routine information to customers; makes account entries to customer records as required; prepares routine customer service order changes. Updates customer account records.
Prepares bills or receipts upon customer request; prepares and issues standard form letters to customers.
Calls delinquent customers requesting payment; grants routine credit extension.
May obtain information from customers, banks, telephone company, etc. concerning maintenance of records and proper application of payments.
Processes return mail.
Assists in the reassignment of sequence numbers.
Does general typing; handles phone calls and maintains files as required.
Receives completed work orders; processes and distributes accordingly.
Collects, compiles and transmits job records, reports, forms and information to Hilo Offices.
Substitutes for or assists the District Clerk II. Other Responsibilities
Replenishes stationery supplies.
Maintains office machines and stamp machine log.
Performs similar and incidental duties as required. Fundamental Requirements
Must pass the Edison Electric Institute Support & Administrative Selection System (SASS). Note: Employees who have taken and passed the General Clerical Test do not need to take the SASS.
Must pass the SRA Oral & Written Directions Test. Must pass the SRA Oral & Written Directions Test.
Ability to type a minimum of 45 w.p.m. (to be determined by Company administered performance test).
Must have at least 3 years of general office and clerical experience.
Ability to pass a 10-key adding machine/calculator test (to be determined by Company administered performance test).
