An employee is capable of attaining Meter Reader/Collector status through the Company’s on-the-job training program. The employee will work under the supervision of the Area Manager. The employee will be required to work alone on Meter Reader assignments for which he or she has been trained and instructed, perform collections and may be required to seal meters for non-payment at the direction of the supervisor in charge. May be required to work out of area for two weeks at a time and install and maintain ERT’s on meters. After training, employee may be required to perform some of the duties of a Utilityman and be upgraded during that time. Those duties would require working outside in all types of weather while performing valve maintenance, locating, bridge crossings, pipeline patrol and inspecting our gas facilities. Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and possess a valid Oregon driver’s license at all times.
