United States of America: Office and Executive Support Administrator

This position will be on a part-time basis, based in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have eligibility to work in and will already reside near or in the DC area. Moving expenses are not available for this position.


MISSION STATEMENT
Motivated by Christ’s love, this position plays a key role in promoting the wholistic ministry of Food for the Hungry (FH) through the framework of the organization’s vision, “God called and we responded until physical and spiritual hungers ended worldwide”. In order to accomplish this vision, FH’s mission is to “walk with churches leaders and families in overcoming all forms of human poverty by living in healthy relationship with God and His creation”.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This part-time position will manage the administrative operations of the Global Service Center Washington DC (GSC DC), and ensure all systems and services critical to the success of the office are in place and functioning well. Will oversee all day-to-day operational functions by providing support, coordination and administrative assistance, and will support the GSC DC units / departments by providing support for IT systems, and the occasional production of reports, project proposals, training materials, and events as needed. He/she will serve as a liaison with the Strategic Service areas of GSC Phoenix on departmental processes and compliance as needed, and will meet and pray with the DC staff on a regular basis and work to maintain a healthy office.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Result #1 – Manage all operational and administrative functions of the office by providing support, organization, coordination and assistance to GSC DC units related to the day-to-day operations of the DC office (75%).
Key Result #2 – Provide executive assistance to program and resource development units (25%).
