Chemonics seeks a temporary cost editor to work with the Editorial Services and Production Department for a six-month assignment. The successful candidate will be an individual with strong time management skills who can handle high-demand work. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Format and assemble cost proposals and ensure consistency with the technical editor
• Compile and complete all required forms and statements to comply with client requirements
• Serve as a resource for cost preparers
• Prepare cost files for submission and electronic archiving
• Learn to produce work products consistent with Chemonics’ and clients’ standards
• Review and become familiar with submission requirements of requests for proposals and other tender documents
• Develop skills to understand and better respond to the needs of new business units
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• One year of administrative and/or technically relevant work experience preferred, with the ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues
• Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
