– BLS – Registered Nurse (RN) – Customer service skills are required Responsible for planning and coordinating all community health education activities related to OMH. Using the results from the most recent Community Health Needs Assessment, this position will work to build community health education activities that work to address the high priorities outlined by the needs assessment. Additionally, this position will oversee the Mammography Assistance Program, and work with the health department to conduct a needs assessment every three years for OMH’s service area. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities: 1. Knowledge of healthcare at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field and 1-2 years clinical healthcare experience. 2. Current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. 3. Strong verbal communication, public speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with community members, community leaders and members of the healthcare team. 4. Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. |
