Customer Account Manager - Chef - Remote





Our subscription customers know that beyond the awesome products of Chef, the way to win is to unlock the power of Chef’s incredible brain trust. The Customer Account Managers at Chef know how to activate the right experts to guide customers through every step of their journey with Chef, from the first welcome at the front door through complete automation of all the things. CAMs sit in our Sales organization, partnering with Chef Solutions Engineers, Success Engineers, Support Engineers, and really every other group within Chef to ensure our customers have a delightful experience.

A typical day in the life will include:


  • Providing visibility into the status of customers’ issues, bugs, support tickets, and feature requests

  • Coordinating mentorship office hours with the customers’ Customer Success Engineers

  • Communicating customers’ product feature requests to the Chef Engineering teams for evaluation

  • Facilitating Chef product roadmap presentations with customers

  • Ensure customers are kept up to date on Chef product announcements

  • Coordinating customer participation in early access programs for new Chef products/features

  • Facilitating engagement between customers and the Chef Community of like-minded customers

  • High-fiving your colleagues virtually as you solve problems for our customers and make them feel amazing

Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in an account management or customer-facing program management role

  • Love of customers, with deep reserves of patience and grace

  • Superhuman organizational skills

  • Comfort with communication across any channel at any level of an organization

  • Ability to thrive and contribute as part of a team, absence of drama

  • Experience working remotely and with geographically distributed teams

HQ is in Seattle, but we are open to candidates based anywhere in the US for this role. EST preferred. Some travel may be required (less than 25%).
