Dog Day Care Play Group Attendant

Part time and Full time positions available. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required
Responsibilities – (to include but not limited to)
- Manage the behavior of individual and groups of dogs in healthy off-leash play and logging all appropriate information on individual charts and documents
- Recognize the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors while the dogs are playing, as well as giving positive reinforcement for good behavior
- Interpret dog language
- Keeping the daycare facility clean, which will include but is not limited to disposing of dog waste, mopping/sweeping/disinfecting the facility while adhering to company standards and safety protocol
- Basic grooming i.e. bathing, nail trim, brushing
Requirements
- Basic dog knowledge including understanding dog language, and know how to engage dogs in healthy off-leash play
- Have a calm and friendly demeanor
- Confidence working with dogs of all breeds and sizes in an off-leash environment
- Experience in teaching basic commands to a dog
- Experience in at least one or more of the following areas: performance events and / or conformation, Dog Day Care Center, training, Kennel management, or Veterinary tech
- Able to be physically active for 5 hours at a time including bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 40lbs with no restrictions
- Dependable and punctual
- Team player with positive attitude
