expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules,
regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her
specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance
issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

Greeting patients and
visitors entering the physician practice.
5.
Answering office phones, and
directs callers to appropriate persons within the office
.
6.
Checks in patients and
collects accurate patient demographics, enters data into electronic system and
verifies insurance.
7.
Collects patient copays,
outstanding balances and all other patient responsibilities.
8.
Compiles, maintains, copies, retrieves and tracks medical records.
9.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma/GED
required with completion medical office assistant program preferred. Must have a minimum of one years of experience working
in an administrative setting
Certification(s):
Prefer healthcare
management/administration certification.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of
insurance verification process. ICD-9 and ICD-10. Understanding of
documentation required for physician appointments. Knowledge of Electronic
Health Systems. Knowledge of Practice
Management Systems. Knowledge of the
policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to provide effective
patient service.
