PRODUCT The foundation for our business is offering a high quality product to our customers. It is the responsibility of the store management team to ensure that every order meets our high standards. The following factors should be kept in mind when evaluating the product that your store is providing to the customer. All products have been made using correct portioning. All products have been made using correct itemization and distribution. All products have been made using correct procedures as defined in the Marco’s Pizza® Operations Manual. All products are eye appealing and made correctly. All products are baked properly. Food ordering and inventory are accurate in order to ensure the freshest possible product. Food costs are maintained in an acceptable range. SERVICE Quality service is as important as our quality product. Customers expect great service, and it is very important that we meet and exceed their expectations in this area. Service is the area of our business where you can set yourself above the rest and win loyal customers because of it. The following areas should be addressed in every store in relation to service. Service Standards: All management team members must fully understand the importance of the service standards established for all stores, as well as the relationship of how meeting these standards will result in happy customers. Customer Complaints: Managers must be able to satisfy a customer who has a complaint about their order. This must be handled in such a way that the customer’s negative experience is turned into a positive result, for both the customer and the store. Customer Relations: All store employees must understand the importance of developing positive relationships with our customers in order to build sales. Store Staffing: Store management must understand the importance of proper staffing, scheduling and labor cost control. IMAGE There are a number of factors that make up the image of a Marco’s Pizza® store and how our customers perceive us. The most important factor is the general appearance of the store and staff. Our goal is to have a store that is clean, warm and modern in appearance. The following items are just a few of the factors that must be addressed in order for a store to have an impressive image, with a store staff that not only looks, but acts professional. The store is clean and organized. All team members are dressed in clean, full, approved uniforms. The store is well lit, and all lights are in working order. The store crew has developed pride in their store and work to keep the store, car-tops and delivery vehicles as clean as possible.
