WIC Call Center Representative - Peoples Health Centers Family of Companies - St. Louis, MO

The Women Infants Children (WIC) Call Center Representative is responsible for directing WIC inquiries received via telephone to the appropriate PHC WIC location. The WIC Call Center Representative may also initiate, confirm and reschedule appointments in the MOWINS system for new and established WIC participants. All appointments must be scheduled in accordance with appointment guidelines as stated in the WIC Operations Manual (WOM).

Ensure that each consumer household address and telephone number at minimum is updated with each phone contact appointment in the MOWINS system.


Give general information about the WIC Program including the eligibility guidelines, income guidelines, breastfeeding services and the certification process.


Educate WIC participants about available appointments for PHC WIC sites, appropriate information needed to complete WIC certifications, office hours, and locations.


Educate WIC participants of services and programs offered at PHC as appropriate.


Instruct all consumers to bring proof of income, proof of address, and proof of residency according to WOM guidelines for those being certified.


Assist WIC participants with rescheduling cancelled appointment due to changes in the WIC schedule or participant’s availability and appropriately document in the MOWINS system.


Select the appropriate appointment time, appointment type and WIC location.


Assist consumer with rescheduling and/or canceling appointments


Verify the WIC participant’s appointments upon request


Document when an appointment has been filled or cancelled


Document applicable information regarding patient’s appointment in the comments section in MOWINS system
