Responsibilities


Hiring, managing, and mentoring SEM & PLA teams

Creating strategy for SEM & PLA programs

Optimizing the programs to hit company KPIs

Owning bid management strategy and execution

Monitoring and reporting of performance across Zappos’ websites

Owning vendor relationships

Maximizing potential of vendor platforms by working on projects with vendors

Monitoring and optimizing SEM and PLA performance around devices

Planning and implementing campaign structure strategy

Serve as a liaison with software engineers to create new internal tools

Meet with merchandising teams to be apprised on latest product catalog

Create and implement negative keyword strategy

Optimizing the product feed to leverage an optimal campaign structure

Monitoring feed delivery to advertising platforms

Analyzing of cross channel traffic and attribution Required Skills


A minimum of six years online marketing experience, preferably the bulk in SEM

A minimum of two years managing and optimizing product feeds for PLA, Comparison Shopping Engines or third party marketplaces.

Has current or previous management experience

Has led large projects with a team taking direction, such as: restructuring campaigns, ad copy optimization, sitelinks optimization and/or launching remarketing

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Four year degree, preferably in marketing or a technical discipline

Track record of building strong and successful vendor relationships

Knows bid management and optimization and what levers to pull to maximize the goals of the SEM & PLA programs

Very strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

Proactive and able to develop rapport and positive working relationships with coworkers and account executives

Ability to multitask and prioritize various projects

Strong negotiation skills

Strong analytical skills

Must love negative keywords

Experience with Kenshoo, Adobe Adlens, Marin Software, Mercent, Versafeed, Channel Advisor Channel Intelligence and/or Doubleclick Search is preferred. Zappos IP, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
