The intern in this role will be exposed to extensive technical, creative and leadership oriented curriculum that will give broad insight into a wide variety of animation careers. There will be opportunities to participate in many educational experiences and collaborate with the team to bring those experiences to fruition.
SUMMARY:
Pixar offers an exciting internship program geared towards students wanting to pursue a career in production management, leadership and development within a creative organization. The internship is intended to give college or recent college graduates valuable “hands on” experience and exposure to our unique production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn from working professionals!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting in the daily operations of Pixar University, collaborating with mentors, participating in internship activities and events, and gaining exclusive access to Pixar University’s education and training programs
Gain knowledge about Pixar’s studio operations and processes
Provide administrative support to the daily operations of Pixar University, as directed by the Program and Events Coordinator
Create a supportive, friendly and professional atmosphere in Pixar University (PU)
Support Program Managers (Art and Film, Technical, and Leadership)
Administrative needs including: office work, photocopying, scanning, phone support, note taking, database entry, calendar maintenance, research and event planning
Assist PU Program and Events Coordinator in advertising special guest presentations within the studio
Take initiative with assignments and develop positive relationships with other departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must be in or have completed at least Junior year of college, be a graduate student, or have graduated within 1 year the internship commences
Positive energy, highly motivated, mature, and eager to be part of the team
General office skills such as scheduling, handling phone calls, email and customer service
Strong organizational skills and attention to details; promptness and responsiveness
Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Working knowledge of Mac OS, Microsoft Office, email and calendaring programs; a quick learner of new applications
SKILLS:
Basic Photoshop skills a plus
Familiarity with art materials
Knowledge of or interest in film production a plus
