The City of Salida is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager to join our team! This is a full-time, fully benefitted position with available medical, dental, vision and retirement plan. Pay range $55,771 – $83656 annually dependent on experience and qualifications. This position manages the operation, maintenance and improvements of the wastewater treatment plant. This is accomplished by meeting with plant staff to discuss operations and maintenance issues; reviewing WWTP data and directing process changes to ensure compliance with all applicable permits; meeting with staff on personnel matters, including safety related issues; assisting in preparing budgets for the wastewater treatment plant; assisting in overseeing expenditures and preparing bid specifications/reviewing various contracts. Other duties include reviewing new technologies and making recommendations as to their useful benefit; monitoring the WWTP computer control system and related equipment and software. The WWTP Manager is registered with the State of Colorado as the Operator in Charge; works regular weekday shifts as well as weekend and holiday rotation with other operators. As a member of the public works organization, may be called out to assist with other City infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects from time to time. Requirements: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Five or more years of thorough experience in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Must possess a “Class A” Colorado Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Certificate and a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Successful applicant must pass a background check.
