Description
Under close supervision of staff, the intern will perform various duties: preparing land base map; performing GIS data entry, updates, distribution, and visualization as appropriate; supporting and assisting internal and external users with GIS and/or any appropriate tools to gathers supporting data and prepares hard copy maps and generates reports; plotting charts and curves from data; Archiving and indexing document and files; scripting for cartographic products and data management tools; performing related office and administrative work as required.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in 2 or 4-year degree programs such as Geography or Computer Science. Other relevant degree paths may be considered, especially if the candidate has relevant work experience.
Candidates with a minimum 3.0 GPA and excellent communication skills preferred.

It is expected position would fulfill approximately 15-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling available. Candidate must have transportation.
