ASM 1 - Lakin Hospital - Mason Co. - State of West Virginia - Mason County, WV

Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) / Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities (BHHF) / Personnel Administration / Lakin Hospital, Mason County – This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the facility. Position functions as the manager for all human resources activities in the facility, which includes the supervision and administrative oversight of recruitment and retention of employees, payroll preparation and functions, employee benefits, personnel transactions preparation and processing, time and attendance processing and management, tracking, monitoring, preparation, and representation in employee grievance proceedings, disciplinary procedures, personnel investigations, personnel related policy review, preparation, and interpretation, and counsels employees and supervisors/managers on personnel issues. Supervises the maintenance and dietary departments. Computer skills are required. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Lakin Hospital is a tobacco-free campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Training: Bachelors’ degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university with a degree in the area of assignment.


Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the training requirement on a year-for-year basis.


Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in the area of assignment.


Special Requirement: A valid West Virginia drivers license may be required.
