This is an exciting opportunity to join the Novartis Exploratory Immuno-Oncology group. We are dedicated to discovering innovative immunotherapeutic modalities, with an emphasis on the development of chimeric antigen receptors for T cell based therapy, to transform patient’s lives.

The successful candidate will become a key individual contributor in a dynamic and multidisciplinary cell therapeutics discovery team tackling a number of novel oncology targets.


The candidate will be working towards increasing our biological understanding of emerging cancer targets and optimizing the cell-based therapy platform. The data generated will directly impact the discovery of new therapies and will provide a major contribution to the design of future clinical trials.


This position is ideal for talented, highly motivated, and results-oriented individuals wishing to combine their interest in novel areas of cancer immunology with their strong desire to discover novel therapeutic approaches.

Minimum requirements


  • BS/MS degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of immunology is crucial, expertise in tumor immunology and/or T cell biology highly desirable.

  • Excellent working knowledge of a breadth of immune, cellular, and molecular biological methods: immune cell assay techniques, including isolation, manipulation, cytokine profiling, and phenotypic characterization of immune cells; multi-color flow cytometry; general mammalian cell culture; viral transduction; transient/ stable cell line generation; molecular cloning.

  • The candidate should be scientifically motivated, and capable of independently conducting, and critically analyzing his/her own research with minimal supervision. A commitment to excellence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment are also vital.
