Chemonics’ Strategic Solutions and Communications Division seeks an associate to pursue and support a diverse portfolio focused on Science, Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (STIP) for development. The associate will provide day-to-day support to STIP-related initiatives and contribute to proposal development for STIP-related activities. We are looking for individuals who have experience and interest in STIP and who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide overall administrative support to SSCD team managing and pursuing STIP opportunities
• Liaise with home office regional business units requiring support on STIP-related projects and proposals
• Serve on proposal teams and support overall new business efforts
• Support initiatives focused on fostering innovation and advancing knowledge
• Interact with clients, counterparts and partners to build strong networks
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, with ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in international development or relevant technical field, Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and initiative to learn new skills.
• Strong administrative skills, word processing abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
• Ability to be proactive and creative in addressing complex development challenges.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work overseas.
