United States of America: New business and practice resource group manager



Chemonics seeks a New Business and Practice Support Resource Group manager for its newly formed Global Health Division. The manager should be familiar with trends in the global health marketplace — both within USAID and in the broader development community. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:


  • Support new business development, including working on proposal development for health programs

  • Contribute to health practice initiatives

  • Help advance the development agenda and increase competitiveness of our proposals

  • Support project teams to improve project performance

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant partners and industry​ experts

  • Organize corporate participation in and represent Chemonics at industry forums

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Three years of technically relevant work or project management experience required

  • One year of supervisory experience required

  • Knowledge of USAID and industry trends in health

  • Administrative, accounting, and project management systems experience required

  • Ability to supervise and mentor staff

  • Experience writing proposal or report sections of at least 10 pages

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Willing to travel and work abroad a minimum of 4 to 8 weeks per year; experience living or working in developing countries preferred

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

  • Proficiency in a foreign language preferred
