Wheeler Front of House Representative - City of Aspen & Pitkin County, CO - Aspen, CO

Hiring Range: $15.00 – $19.00

Position Summary: Performs supervisory and administrative duties as it relates to front of house operations, including house management and hospitality operations.

Supervision Received and Exercised: Position is supervised by the Front of House Manager. Works with Building Maintenance Supervisor, Box Office Manager and Production Manager. Assists with supervision of volunteer ushers and hospitality operations.


Job Responsibility/Frequency/Tasks:
Assist with Operations


Assists with the management of all aspects of Front of House operations including event supervision of bar lobby, ticket lobby, and theatre and hospitality areas. Maintains House Management nightly performance reports, and maybe expected to be merchandise seller at events. Assists with the staffing and supervision of all volunteer ushers in facilitating event needs. Customer Services


Ensures positive, efficient customer service-oriented operation. Facilitates patron seating, resolves conflicts and ensures the timely start of programs. Responds to renter and patron needs. Maintains public safety and assists with artist security issues. Manages merchandise and disclosure procedures. Hospitality


Facilitates hospitality needs per events. Including set-ups and break downs/clean-up of bar lobby, ticket lobby, theatre and hospitality areas. This includes lifting of tables/chairs, moving tables and chairs, minor lobby touch-ups (spot vacuuming, garbage/recycling removal, wiping down tables, etc.). Coordinate


Coordinates event details with the Front of House Supervisor, Production Managers, Building Maintenance Supervisor, Box Office Manager and other relevant staff including volunteer ushers.

Minimum Requirements to be Considered for this position:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience:
One year House Management, ushering, cash handling, and/or hospitality (concessions) experience with a performing arts organization required. Computer Skills:


One year Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.


Work Hours and Environment, Physical Requirements, and Additional Information:


Work Hours: Up to 20 hours: Evenings and weekends as events as scheduled.


Work Environment: Indoors – Work is generally performed in a busy theater and office environment. Outdoors/ Offsite – Security, accepting packages, transporting packages.

Lifting & Carrying: Up to 75 lbs. Assisted, lifting tables, moving tables/chairs, picking up beverages and trash in theatre, taking trash/recycling to dumpster after event, Moving boxes/packages & performer equipment


Physical: Climbing stairs, standing and sitting for extended periods of time.


Compensation: Intermittent part-time position
